Still Between Games

Again, it’s amazing how much quilting one can get done when there are no distractions. Although, I will admit that this quilt has been ready for the upcoming “Fruit Smoothie” workshop for awhile now…probably since between the 2nd & 3rd series the Vancouver Canucks played! This is another pattern designed by Karen Neary and it caught my eye last year (Fruit Smoothie, Balis in the Blender). Joan and I will be teaching this workshop in Ladner in mid June…it will also include making continuous bias binding. I don’t know why I quit making binding this way…it was one of the first things I learned to make when I started quilting. It is necesary for binding these curved outter borders but I also think it helps to make straight edge borders and mitreing at the corners smoother. It’s amazing how a 17″ square converts to 3m of binding.
