Just an Illusion: Step #6

Well it’s finally here, the last step in the Just an Illusion mystery quilt as well as  my actual quilt, Kia Ora. This afternoon it will get it’s binding and all will be well. For those of you who have not guessed the block name it is “Card Trick.” I prefer this technique to the one using triangles. I learned to do it this way through a Quilt in a Day publication, Winning Hand by Mackie. Once I decided on the block I decided it need to be set on point and then have floating borders. I like to think of it as  A Kind Of Magic by Queen. ;)

The one to the left belongs to Shelley. She has worked on hers the last two MLQ sewing days and is ready for the borders…just like the rest of you! So here is your final step in completing your quilt—> PDF removed Jan 31/13 .

If there is anything you’d like to see us do in the new year, leave me a comment and we’ll see what we can do.

I can’t wait to see your finished quilts…Happy Quilting…Valerie Raye
