Sewing Day for January 2013

We were so focussed on what we were doing we couldn’t believe it when the lunch bell rang and 4:30 arrived not long after that! Wow, what a productive day. Both Shelley and Denise completed their Just an Illusion mystery quilts. Both ladies were so stoked when they saw how wonderful their mitred borders turned out :) :) and they truly were awesome!

Lorraine was able to get her quilt top assembled to the point where she just needs to attach her borders. This quilt is absolutely beautiful! ————————–>

It was a day for completing quilt tops and both Juli & Lynn got their very large quilt flimsies completed as well. I can’t wait to see all these quilts when they are quilted and bound. I feel an outdoor quilt show coming on!

Joan served us a delicious lunch of Hamburger soup with maple leaf shaped Cheese Biscuits. Dessert was individually made chocolate bundt cake with ice cream and fresh raspberries. I was too busy eating mine to take a picture…it tasted as wonderful as it looked.

Our next sewing day is on Saturday March 23rd. And, following two weeks later, is our 2nd annual Quilt Camp at Edenvale. Looking forward to both those dates and hope to see some of you there!

Happy Quilting…Valerie Raye
